Erie Animal Network

Erie Animal Network is a social networking project to help companion animals by connecting the found, stray and unwanted dogs and cats with new loving homes or those who can help, donate or foster. The purpose of our facebook page is to promote the Erie Animal Network, a community group to network with other citizens who are concerned about stray and abandoned animals in Erie County. We are not a shelter, nor do we take animals in. We simply want to raise awareness for abandoned and stray animals in need. We are a non-profit but receive no government assistance for this group. We rely completely on the donations of our community.

Our goals include:

  • Raising awareness about animal abandonment.
  • Spreading the word about found animals on a community, grass roots level so that found animals can have temporary help until a permanent arrangement can be found.
  • Providing resources and information on feral cat care as a 'feral friend' of Alley Cat Allies (A non profit specializing in feral cat care).
  • Providing a pet food bank (launching in February 2012) to Erie County families in need of help with pet food and supplies, with a goal of reducing animal abandonment, or owner surrender, and allowing more pets to stay in their homes.

We support all local shelters and their efforts. We want to promote compassion and additional resources for animals who are found alone, abandoned or stray. We are also unable to provide veterinary advice and suggest that you contact a local vet for assistance. Our adoptables are now available to be viewed on PetFinder
